What You’ll Do

  • Provide financial management support for NSF-funded skills development projects.
  • Conduct financial due diligence for new project initiatives.
  • Monitor project expenditures against budgets and actual performance.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports during project execution and closure.
  • Verify and approve project payment requests.
  • Develop financial workbooks and forecasts for a portfolio of projects.
  • Maintain a central filing system for project financial documents.
  • Supervise a team of financial officers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal units such as HR and supply chain management.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree or national diploma (NQF level 6) in Financial Management or Accounting.
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing, with at least three years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and strategic capability in financial management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Good knowledge of public sector financial regulations and frameworks.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
