What You’ll Do

  • Manage and control the Attendance Tracking Report for auditing and billing purposes.
  • Obtain Medical Aid Authorizations for various services, including accommodation and specialized radiology.
  • Audit and finalize billing for patient categories H2 and H3.
  • Handle State Department Debt, including matters related to SANDF and Correctional Services.
  • Finalize charges on the AR system according to billing instructions.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices in line with the Hospital Fees Manual.
  • File in and out-patient registration forms and manage related fees.
  • Manually suspend invoices at the time of discharge when necessary.
  • Provide relief for colleagues and undertake other clerical duties as required.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate or equivalent, with Mathematics and/or Accountancy as passed subjects.
  • Appropriate experience in a Case Management-related environment.
  • Willingness to rotate within the Finance Section and relieve colleagues as needed.
  • Competencies in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of Hospital Fees Memorandum Chapter 18, UPFS, BAS, HIS, Clinicom, and Accounts Receivable (AR) System.
  • Basic understanding of Anatomy, Physiology, and ICD10 Coding.
  • Strong sense of integrity and accountability.
