What You’ll Do

  • Provide administrative support functions to judges and court personnel.
  • Escort judges to and from the courtroom, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Maintain order in courtrooms before and during proceedings.
  • Organize court crew and communicate starting times in line with the court roll.
  • Check and arrange criminal and civil files for courtroom use.
  • Report missing files and maintain accurate court records.
  • Facilitate the smooth running of court processes and assist with scheduling.
  • Collect and distribute court files, ensuring they are kept safe and organized.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum of Grade 10 or ABET level 3, as recognized by SAQA.
  • Relevant experience in an administrative or court-related role.
  • A valid driver’s license is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong clerical skills and understanding of office administration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and good public relations skills.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
