What You’ll Do

  • Manage the provisioning of staff in accordance with the Employment of Educators Act and Public Service Act.
  • Coordinate recruitment processes and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Facilitate the maintenance of statistical information related to human resources.
  • Oversee staff transfers and secondments within the department.
  • Implement departmental policies on human resource management to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Provide guidance and advice to line managers and employees on HR policies and directives.
  • Approve and authorize transactions on PERSAL in line with delegation protocols.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant NQF level 6 qualification in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or Public Management recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience, with at least three years in a supervisory or lower management role within a related field.
  • A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for applicants with disabilities).
  • Strong knowledge of the Public Service legislative environment, policies, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, along with problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
