The Department of Employment and Labour is looking for a dedicated Team Leader to join their Labour Centre in Upington, Northern Cape. What You’ll Do
- Plan and conduct inspections to enforce compliance with various labour laws.
- Execute independent investigations into reported cases of labour law violations.
- Prepare documentation and appear in court as a State witness when necessary.
- Conduct regular proactive inspections to monitor compliance in the workplace.
- Lead advocacy campaigns to raise awareness of labour legislation among employees and employers.
- Contribute to the planning and drafting of regional inspection plans and reports.
- Analyze and compile statistical reports on regional and assigned cases.
- Supervise resources within the sub-section to ensure efficient operations.
What You’ll Need
- A National Diploma (NQF6) or an Undergraduate Bachelor Degree (NQF7) in Labour Relations, Labour Law, LLB, or BCOM Law.
- A valid driver’s license.
- At least two years of functional experience in Inspection and Enforcement Services.
- Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures and relevant labour acts.
- Strong skills in facilitation, planning, organizing, and computer literacy.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
