What You’ll Do

  • Render supply chain demand and acquisition processes in accordance with policies and regulations.
  • Facilitate the procurement of goods and services through a formal tender process.
  • Provide secretarial support to bid committees and assist during tender/bid briefing sessions.
  • Compile and review bid documents to ensure compliance with supply chain management (SCM) prescripts.
  • Monitor the validity period of closed tenders and coordinate the bidding process.
  • Prepare registers for bidders and assess compliance with SCM procedures.
  • Open and evaluate bid documents, preparing scoring models and tender recommendation reports.
  • Assist in implementing SCM policies, processes, and procedures across the department.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF level 6 qualification (National Diploma) in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, Public Administration, Procurement, Financial Management, or a relevant qualification.
  • A minimum of one year experience in Supply Chain Acquisition Management.
  • A valid, unexpired driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of procurement administration procedures and relevant financial legislation.
  • Familiarity with BAS, SAP, GAAP, PFMA, PPPFA, and BEE policies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with effective communication abilities.
  • Understanding of social and economic development issues and a commitment to client orientation.
