What You’ll Do
- Provide clerical support for asset management, including maintaining records and databases.
- Check and issue furniture, equipment, and accessories to various components and individuals.
- Identify and assist in the disposal of redundant or non-serviceable equipment.
- Verify and update the asset register to ensure accurate records.
- Offer clerical support for demand and acquisition processes.
- Maintain and update the supplier database, including registration on LOGIS or similar systems.
- Request and receive quotations, capturing specifications on the electronic purchasing system.
- Issue and receive bid documents, providing logistical support during the bidding process.
- Compile draft documents as required and render logistical support services.
- Manage orders for goods, verifying and capturing received items in registers and databases.
- Facilitate the issuing of goods to end users and maintain an accurate goods register.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate or a related equivalent qualification.
- Basic knowledge of supply chain duties and practices.
- Proficiency in data capture and computer operation, including statistical collection.
- Understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Good verbal and written communication abilities.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
