What You’ll Do
- Provide clerical support for asset management, including maintaining accurate records and databases.
- Check and issue furniture, equipment, and accessories to various departments and individuals.
- Identify and facilitate the disposal of redundant and obsolete equipment.
- Verify and maintain the asset register to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with demand and acquisition processes, including updating supplier databases.
- Request, receive, and manage quotations, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
- Support the logistical aspects of procurement, including placing orders and receiving goods.
- Maintain registers and databases, capturing and verifying goods received from suppliers.
- Assist in providing secretariat support during bid considerations and contract conclusions.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate or NQF level 4 qualification.
- Basic knowledge of supply chain practices and data entry skills.
- Familiarity with legislative frameworks governing the public service.
- Understanding of financial operating systems, such as LOGIS.
- Proficiency in computer literacy with the ability to handle data confidentially.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a public service internship program.
