What You’ll Do
- Deliver basic clinical nursing care to patients in the Female Pre Discharge Ward 3.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Ensure effective utilization of hospital resources to support patient care.
- Maintain professional growth and uphold ethical standards in nursing practice.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
What You’ll Need
- A qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse.
- Current registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.
- For Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years of relevant nursing experience post-registration.
- For Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years of relevant nursing experience post-registration.
- Willingness to work overtime, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Knowledge of community mental health at the primary health care level.
- Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse.Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.
Experience: Grade 1: None.
Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.
Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.
Inherent requirements of the job: Willingness to work overtime, nightshift, weekends and public holidays.
Willingness to rotate within the hospital in different wards.
Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge and experience of Community Mental Health at Primary Health care level.
Basic Computer literacy (MS Office).
Ability to function independently, as well as in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure good patient care.
Good communication skills.
