What You’ll Do
- Provide specialised environmental impact management services to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Offer technical support for assessing environmental impact applications, especially when the Department is not the competent authority.
- Analyse, evaluate, and monitor the status of environmental impact management practices in the province.
- Manage various administrative functions related to environmental impact assessments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote best practices in environmental management.
- Prepare reports and documentation to support decision-making processes within the department.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate plus a 4-year degree/NQF Level 8 or equivalent qualification in Natural Sciences, Environmental Management, Nature Conservation, Environmental Law, or a related field.
- While no experience is required, 1-2 years’ experience in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of the National Environmental Management Act, Public Service Regulations, and the Public Service Act.
- Proficient computer literacy and skills.
- Strong writing and communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
