What You’ll Do
- Provide social work services aimed at the care, support, protection, and development of vulnerable individuals and families.
- Conduct casework, group work, and community work to address social instability.
- Supervise and support the continuous professional development of social auxiliary workers.
- Stay informed about new developments in social work and welfare fields.
- Fulfill all required administrative functions associated with the role.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant tertiary qualification in social work (Bachelor of Social Work) that allows for professional registration.
- Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions as a Social Worker.
- Experience requirements vary: No experience needed for Grade 1; 10 years for Grade 2; 20 years for Grade 3; 30 years for Grade 4.
- A valid Code B driving license.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, social work theory, and intervention strategies.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
