What You’ll Do

• Provide social work services aimed at the care, support, protection, and development of vulnerable individuals and families.
• Conduct casework, group work, and community work to address social instability.
• Supervise and support the continuous professional development of social auxiliary workers.
• Stay informed about new developments in social work and welfare fields.
• Fulfill all required administrative functions associated with the role.

What You’ll Need

• A relevant tertiary qualification in social work (Bachelor of Social Work) that allows for professional registration.
• Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions as a Social Worker.
• Experience requirements vary: No experience needed for Grade 1; 10 years for Grade 2; 20 years for Grade 3; 30 years for Grade 4.
• A valid Code B driving license.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, social work theory, and intervention strategies.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
