What You’ll Do

  • Render social work services through casework, group work, and community work.
  • Address matters related to social instability and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Supervise and support the continuous professional development of social auxiliary workers.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in social work and welfare fields.
  • Fulfill all administrative functions associated with social work responsibilities.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in social work (Bachelor of Social Work).
  • Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions as a social worker.
  • For Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in social work after registration.
  • For Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in social work after registration.
  • For Grade 4: A minimum of 30 years of relevant experience in social work after registration.
  • A valid Code B driving licence.
  • Strong knowledge of social work theory, ethics, and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and problem-solving skills.
