What You’ll Do

  • Gather and analyse relevant documents and information for vetting investigations.
  • Conduct interviews with subjects and references, ensuring all nine vetting factors are addressed.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations to management and the National Intelligence Agency (NLA).
  • Ensure quality control on all vetting investigation files and monitor the progress of Vetting Investigators.
  • Conduct company screenings and verify information using various sources, including MIE checks and SARS.
  • Facilitate training and development for staff to ensure high standards of performance.
  • Provide guidance on the interpretation of legislation, policies, and procedures related to vetting.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma in Social Science, Security Management, Criminology, Police Science, or related fields at NQF level six (6) as recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the relevant field, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
  • A Vetting Course from SSA, DI, and SAPS will be advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of South African constitutional law, public service policies, and vetting procedures.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, alongside project management and analytical skills.
