About the Role
The Department of Transport is seeking a dedicated Driver/Messenger for its Fleet Management team in Pretoria. What You’ll Do
- Drive light and medium motor vehicles for the transport of passengers and goods.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on allocated vehicles and report any defects.
- Maintain accurate records and log books related to vehicle usage and transported items.
- Provide messenger services within the department as needed.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of Grade 12 qualification.
- A valid Code B driver’s license for light motor vehicles.
- At least 1 year of driving experience; a Professional Driving Permit (PDP) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of sorting and distribution procedures, as well as an understanding of the public service regulatory framework.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attributes such as reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to integrity.
