The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Practitioner based in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. What You’ll Do
- Facilitate demand management services and conduct market analysis per commodity.
- Coordinate and review procurement and demand management plans.
- Ensure compliance of procurement requests from clients and support drafting specifications.
- Compile and update procurement and demand plan progress reports.
- Implement the quotation process and manage sourcing of quotations up to R1 000 000.00.
- Conduct and facilitate briefing sessions and compile minutes for Bid Evaluation Committee procedures.
- Prepare and publish bid documentation, and conduct the bidding process.
- Provide secretariat duties to the Provincial Bid Adjudication Committee (PBAC) and maintain contract registers.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Logistics Management, Public Management, Purchasing Management, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement administration or acquisition management.
- Knowledge of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, Public Finance Management Act, and Treasury Supply Chain Management guidelines.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and think analytically.
