What You’ll Do

• Handle tax-related representations submitted to the NDPP and DNDPP, providing well-informed recommendations.
• Attend to general prosecutions related to representations as needed.
• Perform administrative duties and other tax-related tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
• Mentor and guide advocates and stakeholders on complex tax issues.
• Maintain accurate records related to STU matters and assist in drafting tax-related reports.
• Address MOU-related queries and ensure compliance with all relevant policies.
• Promote community involvement and partner integration in tax matters to enhance customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Need

• An LLB degree or an appropriate legal qualification for serving prosecutors.
• At least eight (8) years of post-qualification legal experience in civil and/or criminal litigation.
• Six (6) years of relevant experience in criminal court work, advocacy, and drafting.
• Demonstrated competency in independent and professional legal practice.
• Right of appearance as per section 25(2) of the NPA Act, 32 of 1998.
• Extensive experience in prosecuting or litigating tax and commercial crimes.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Income Tax Act and VAT Act.
• Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills.
• Strong administrative and interpersonal skills, along with advanced computer literacy.
