What You’ll Do

  • Conduct regular occupational health and safety inspections and ensure accurate records are maintained.
  • Organise and lead emergency response drills, training staff on their roles during emergencies.
  • Facilitate health and safety training sessions for managers and representatives, ensuring awareness of best practices.
  • Oversee incident reporting and conduct preliminary investigations, compiling detailed reports on findings.
  • Maintain compliance with OHS policies and procedures, supervising record-keeping and documentation.
  • Establish and coordinate Occupational Health and Safety committees, facilitating regular meetings and tracking action items.
  • Conduct audits to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations across various operations.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management at NQF level 6.
  • Three to four years of relevant experience in an Occupational Health and Safety environment.
  • A valid and unexpired driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and technical knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Strong understanding of government legislation and administrative procedures.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on accountability and ethical conduct.
  • Willingness to travel regularly as part of the role.
