The Department of Employment and Labour is seeking a dedicated Counsellor Grade 1 for its eMaXesibeni Labour Centre. This role is pivotal in providing employment counselling services that enhance the employability of designated groups within the eMaXesibeni community. What You’ll Do
- Provide and implement comprehensive employment counselling services to assist job seekers.
- Conduct recruitment and psychometric assessments to evaluate candidates’ suitability for various roles.
- Liaise with government, non-government, and private organizations to enhance employability interventions.
- Manage the operations and personnel resources of the employment counselling unit effectively.
What You’ll Need
- A 4-year qualification in Bachelor of Psychology or an equivalent qualification in Psychology.
- Registration with HPCSA as a Registered Counsellor (Independent practice) or Psychometrist (Independent practice).
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of ILO Conventions, Financial Management, and Human Resource Management.
- Strong skills in computer usage, communication, planning, report writing, leadership, and interpersonal relations.
