What You’ll Do

• Liaise with district officials and school management to prepare for evaluations and research.
• Conduct independent research and evaluations in various educational settings.
• Analyse data using qualitative and quantitative techniques to assess teaching and learning.
• Observe educators in practice and provide feedback based on approved assessment instruments.
• Write, edit, and analyse reports, offering actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Collate and synthesise evaluation reports from team members to identify emerging trends.
• Conduct document analysis and prepare comprehensive reports with recommendations.
• Verify findings of school self-evaluations and contribute to setting educational standards.
• Share research findings across different platforms and structures.
• Identify challenges within the basic education sector and propose action research to address these issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor within the scope of labour law.

What You’ll Need

• A three-year (NQF level 6) post-matric qualification or equivalent.
• At least four years of relevant experience in the education sector at an Assistant Director level or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of education policies and legislation.
• Proficiency in Sepedi, Setswana, or isiZulu is essential.
• Understanding of matrix and project management.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, report writing, and presentation skills, including proficiency in MS PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel as required.
• A valid driver’s licence and a passion for contributing positively to South African education.
