What You’ll Do
- Liaise with district officials and school management to prepare for evaluations and research.
- Conduct independent research and evaluations in various educational settings.
- Analyse data using qualitative and quantitative techniques to assess teaching and learning.
- Observe educators in practice and provide feedback based on approved assessment instruments.
- Write, edit, and analyse reports, offering actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Collate and synthesise evaluation reports from team members to identify emerging trends.
- Conduct document analysis and prepare comprehensive reports with recommendations.
- Verify findings of school self-evaluations and contribute to setting educational standards.
- Share research findings across different platforms and structures.
- Identify challenges within the basic education sector and propose action research to address these issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor within the scope of labour law.
What You’ll Need
- A three-year (NQF level 6) post-matric qualification or equivalent.
- At least four years of relevant experience in the education sector at an Assistant Director level or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of education policies and legislation.
- Proficiency in Sepedi, Setswana, or isiZulu is essential.
- Understanding of matrix and project management.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, report writing, and presentation skills, including proficiency in MS PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel as required.
- A valid driver’s licence and a passion for contributing positively to South African education.
