What You’ll Do

  • Design and layout publicity materials for the Department, ensuring they are visually appealing and effectively communicate key messages.
  • Conduct systematic processes to ensure efficient production of publicity materials, enhancing workflow and delivering high-quality content.
  • Coordinate the quotations process for publications, ensuring transparency and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Prepare artwork for printing, ensuring all designs meet the necessary specifications and standards.
  • Execute in-house photography for departmental events, capturing moments that highlight the department’s impact and initiatives.

What You’ll Need

  • A qualification at NQF level 6 in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related fields as recognised by the South African Qualification Authority.
  • A minimum of two years of functional experience as a Graphic Designer in the graphic design field.
  • Proficiency in Apple Mac platform and Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
  • Strong skills in design, layout, strategic conceptualization, and time management to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
