What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive consumer awareness strategy for the district.
  • Provide technical assistance to consumers in resolving complaints effectively.
  • Maintain an efficient administration system to support consumer protection initiatives.
  • Manage and perform related administrative functions to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote consumer rights and awareness in the community.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate plus a National Diploma (NQF 6) in Law, Business Practice, or a relevant qualification.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in consumer protection or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Eastern Cape Consumer Protection Act and other consumer rights legislation.
  • Strong skills in applied strategic thinking, problem analysis, and effective communication.
  • Excellent time management, planning, organizing, and negotiation skills.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
