What You’ll Do

  • Transcribe and record interviews verbatim to support data analysis.
  • Capture and collect data from schools and district offices using questionnaires.
  • Clean and sort data captured in various databases for accuracy.
  • Organize and package documents collected by researchers in the field.
  • Assist with communication to schools and districts in preparation for research visits.
  • Train and supervise a team responsible for data capturing and cleaning.
  • Scan and file completed data instruments systematically.
  • Format prepared reports for clarity and presentation.
  • Maintain Leave and Risk Registers for efficient record-keeping.
  • Monitor expenditures using monthly cash flow statements.
  • Plan travel arrangements for researchers collecting data.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on submitted claims from researchers.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor within the framework of labor law.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant post-matric qualification (NQF level 6) or equivalent recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in the Basic Education Sector.
  • Strong language skills in Sepedi and isiZulu.
  • Understanding of the education policy and legislative environment.
  • Knowledge of Whole-School Evaluation (WSE) principles.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills, including MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work extensive hours and travel as needed.
  • A genuine passion for positively contributing to South African education.
