What You’ll Do

  • Implement access control measures according to the Control of Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act.
  • Identify and register employees, visitors, and contractors at security access points.
  • Authorize entry for individuals based on compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Issue and manage visitor admission control cards and maintain a visitor’s register.
  • Conduct thorough patrols of buildings and fenced areas to ensure security.
  • Inspect suppliers and articles before allowing them into the premises, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Monitor and check all security equipment, taking appropriate action when necessary.
  • Report any security deficiencies to senior personnel for prompt resolution.

What You’ll Need

  • Proven competency in key functions relevant to the role.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other official South African language.
  • South African citizenship with documentary proof required during the interview.
  • A minimum education level of Grade 10/Standard 8/NCV level 2.
  • Valid registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) and a Grade C security certificate or higher.
  • Willingness to undergo firearm competency training and maintain certification.
  • A valid driver’s license for a light motor vehicle is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and extended hours as needed.
  • Knowledge of access control procedures and security measures.
