The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Security Officer Supervisor in Tugela Vaal. This position is pivotal in maintaining the safety and security of our facilities, including the Woodstock Dam and Sterkfontein Dam, located near the beautiful city of Vanderkloof. As a Security Officer Supervisor, you will oversee the security functions performed by security officers and service providers, ensuring that all departmental security policies are strictly followed. What You’ll Do

• Supervise security functions carried out by security officers and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with departmental security policies and procedures.
• Provide security-related support and manage control room operations.
• Conduct preliminary investigations and perform unannounced inspections.
• Monitor and control the movement of equipment in and out of premises.

What You’ll Need

• A Senior/Grade 12 Certificate at NQF Level 4 or a relevant qualification.
• At least three years of security experience.
• A Grade B PSIRA certificate is essential.
• A valid unexpired driver’s license will be considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in computer literacy and access control procedures.
• Strong knowledge of prescribed security procedures such as the OHS Act and Access Control Act.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with good listening and interpersonal skills.
