What You’ll Do

  • Manage daily maintenance, repairs, and renovations of buildings within the district.
  • Oversee the delivery of repair and renovation projects in accordance with IDMS guidelines.
  • Approve implementation plans and ensure compliance with relevant Acts and regulations.
  • Prepare and validate tender documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage budgets for identified projects, ensuring financial accountability.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community members, municipalities, and various stakeholders.
  • Provide insights for the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and coordinate minor projects.
  • Supervise the resources and staff within the Sub-Directorate, promoting teamwork and efficiency.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate and a relevant B-Tech/Bachelor’s Degree in Property Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the built environment, including 3 years at a Middle Management level.
  • Valid driver’s license and extensive knowledge of building norms, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and possess strong management and communication skills.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with an ability to handle conflict and adapt to change.
  • Excellent planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
