What You’ll Do
- Perform access control functions to monitor and manage entry to the premises.
- Confirm appointments and direct visitors to the relevant service areas.
- Complete admission control registers and issue necessary documents.
- Escort visitors to designated employees or venues as required.
- Conduct regular patrols of the building and premises to ensure safety.
- Check for unauthorized individuals and prevent dangerous objects from entering the premises.
- Report on incidents and follow up as needed.
- Inspect and ensure that doors are secured as necessary.
- Identify and report any fire hazards or safety concerns.
- Maintain communication regarding suspicious objects and ensure emergency procedures are followed.
- Safeguard equipment, documents, and departmental assets.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate.
- Completion of a basic security officer’s course.
- Grade C registration with PSIRA.
- No prior experience is required.
- Knowledge of access control procedures and security protocols.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to read and write effectively.
