What You’ll Do

• Perform access control functions to monitor and manage entry to the premises.
• Confirm appointments and direct visitors to the relevant service areas.
• Complete admission control registers and issue necessary documents.
• Escort visitors to designated employees or venues as required.
• Conduct regular patrols of the building and premises to ensure safety.
• Check for unauthorized individuals and prevent dangerous objects from entering the premises.
• Report on incidents and follow up as needed.
• Inspect and ensure that doors are secured as necessary.
• Identify and report any fire hazards or safety concerns.
• Maintain communication regarding suspicious objects and ensure emergency procedures are followed.
• Safeguard equipment, documents, and departmental assets.

What You’ll Need

• A National Senior Certificate.
• Completion of a basic security officer’s course.
• Grade C registration with PSIRA.
• No prior experience is required.
• Knowledge of access control procedures and security protocols.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to read and write effectively.
