What You’ll Do
- Control and monitor access to the hospital premises, ensuring the safety of patients and staff.
- Assist in escorting patients on and off the hospital grounds.
- Respond to and manage incidents involving aggressive or violent patients effectively.
- Deliver supportive security services aimed at preventing injuries and adverse events.
- Maintain surveillance of key areas using cameras to identify potential threats.
- Record and report all incidents, patient movements, and any related activities.
What You’ll Need
- A General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) or Grade 9 (Std 7).
- Registration as a Security Officer Grade C or higher with the Security Board (PSIRA).
- Relevant experience as a Security Officer, particularly in a psychiatric environment.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to function independently in challenging situations.
- Excellent conflict management and communication skills.
