What You’ll Do
- Conduct in-year monitoring (IYM) of the provincial budget.
- Assist with the preparation of the main budget and adjustments estimate.
- Ensure compliance with the PFMA and Treasury Regulations.
- Engage with stakeholders to facilitate effective budget processes.
- Contribute to the development of budgeting systems and financial management practices.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF Level 7 qualification or higher in Public Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the public finance sector, including financial management and budgeting systems.
- A valid driver’s license, with the ability to meet travel commitments if required.
- Knowledge of applicable national and provincial policies, including the PFMA and Treasury Regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numeracy skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word, with skills in research, report writing, and project management.
