What You’ll Do

  • Manage and coordinate the procurement process, including the advertising and issuing of bid documents.
  • Facilitate and oversee quotation processes for the Corporate Office and related facilities as required.
  • Ensure adherence to turnaround times for bids and quotations, enhancing efficiency.
  • Provide secretariat functions for the Departmental Bid Adjudication Committee when necessary.
  • Conduct supervisory functions, ensuring compliance with deviation requests from end-users.
  • Offer training and support to staff and end-users on procurement processes.
  • Develop and maintain the Risk Register for Acquisition Management.
  • Contribute to quarterly reports for the Audit Committee and monitor the implementation of the Audit Action Plan.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate Bachelor of Commerce in Supply Chain Management or an equivalent qualification at NQF level 7 as recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in Supply Chain Management at a supervisory level.
  • Strong knowledge of Treasury Regulations, Public Service Regulations, PFMA, and SCM Legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to problem-solve effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, along with strong numeracy and literacy abilities.
  • Analytic thinking and supervisory skills to lead a team successfully.
