What You’ll Do
- Manage quarterly and annual physical asset verifications to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee the addition and disposal of assets, maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate the management of donations, both received and given by the department.
- Update and maintain the Departmental Asset Register for reliability and completeness.
- Monitor and support facilities with asset management-related matters.
- Manage the disposal and destruction of expired pharmaceuticals and medicine.
- Supervise staff within the component, ensuring performance and leave management.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate Bachelor of Commerce in Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification at NQF level 7 recognized by SAQA.
- At least three years of related financial or asset management experience at a supervisory level.
- In-depth knowledge of Public Treasury Regulations, National Asset Management guidelines, and Public Service Regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including numeracy and literacy skills.
- Analytical thinking and supervisory skills, with extensive knowledge of the Logistical Information System (LOGIS).
