The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator for its Tenure Reform Implementation in Welkom, Free State. What You’ll Do
- Implement various communal land tenure projects to support community development.
- Initiate awareness campaigns and capacity-building workshops on communal land management and relevant legislation.
- Liaise with land rights management structures to provide legal protection and awareness.
- Facilitate mediation and adjudication processes for land rights violations and disputes.
- Conduct implementation of communal tenure upgrade programs to enhance land rights.
- Maintain a database of Communal Property Associations (CPAs) and monitor their activities.
- Engage in stakeholder relations and represent the Directorate at various forums.
- Attend to audits and implement risk management action plans.
- Compile and submit reports on project progress and compliance.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Humanities, Social Sciences, Legal Qualification, or a related field (NQF Level 6).
- A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in land tenure or related fields.
- A valid driver’s license is essential for this role.
- Thorough knowledge of land tenure security matters, legislation, and policies.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Familiarity with project management, strategic planning, and human resources management.
- Willingness to travel as required.
