What You’ll Do

  • Deliver specialized nursing care to patients in the Medical Ward, adhering to professional and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive health care delivery.
  • Participate in health education initiatives and document patient care effectively.
  • Engage in clinical practice development and educational activities.
  • Utilize human and financial resources efficiently while supporting your supervisor and nursing division.

What You’ll Need

  • Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent, allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
  • Post-basic qualification in Medical and Surgical Nursing Science: Child Nursing Science (1 year) accredited with SANC or a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in nursing for Grade 1 and 14 years for Grade 2 after registration.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills with knowledge of relevant nursing legislation.
  • Proficiency in computer applications like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
