What You’ll Do

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Operating Theatre according to established standards.
• Participate in resource management to optimize patient care and operational efficiency.
• Support nursing services and collaborate with multidisciplinary theatre teams.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and adhere to ethical standards.
• Advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and rights are prioritized.
• Work flexible hours, including shifts, nights, weekends, and public holidays.

What You’ll Need

• Basic R425 nursing qualification (Degree/Diploma) and registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse with Midwifery.
• A post-basic qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing Science, accredited with the SANC.
• Minimum of 4 years (Grade 1) or 14 years (Grade 2) experience in nursing after registration with SANC in General Nursing.
• At least 10 years of experience in Operating Theatre Nursing Science after obtaining the relevant qualification.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the multidisciplinary team.
• Basic understanding of HR and financial policies, as well as computer literacy to enhance service delivery.
