What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Operating Theatre according to established standards.
- Participate in resource management to optimize patient care and operational efficiency.
- Support nursing services and collaborate with multidisciplinary theatre teams.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and adhere to ethical standards.
- Advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and rights are prioritized.
- Work flexible hours, including shifts, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
What You’ll Need
- Basic R425 nursing qualification (Degree/Diploma) and registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse with Midwifery.
- A post-basic qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing Science, accredited with the SANC.
- Minimum of 4 years (Grade 1) or 14 years (Grade 2) experience in nursing after registration with SANC in General Nursing.
- At least 10 years of experience in Operating Theatre Nursing Science after obtaining the relevant qualification.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the multidisciplinary team.
- Basic understanding of HR and financial policies, as well as computer literacy to enhance service delivery.
