The Department of Public Service and Administration is seeking a dedicated Principal Personnel Officer for the Performance Management and Development Services (PMDS) at the Provincial Office in Mbombela (Nelspruit). What You’ll Do
- Administer performance management and development services to enhance employee performance.
- Coordinate probationary records and maintain a comprehensive performance management database.
- Provide technical advice on performance management issues to various stakeholders.
- Facilitate the implementation of performance rewards using the PERSAL system.
- Offer administrative support services for the unit to ensure smooth operations.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in Performance Management and Development Systems, or a Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or Public Management recognized by SAQA.
- Strong understanding of the Public Service Act, Public Service regulations, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and Employment Equity Act.
- Proficiency in computer applications, especially MS Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate sound decision-making and organizational skills.
- A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
