What You’ll Do

  • Apply for discretionary grants from various funders on behalf of the college.
  • Organize orientations and inductions for interns and host employers.
  • Coordinate and oversee 41 work placements, ensuring student support throughout the process.
  • Conduct placement visits to monitor student progress and address any arising issues.
  • Assist with work placement correspondence and manage internal and external inquiries.
  • Implement student work readiness programs, including resume writing and interview preparation workshops.
  • Organize networking events for students, businesses, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a current database of employers and student placements.
  • Write reports and assist with internship and experiential program processes.
  • Facilitate job readiness training programs and liaise with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update the student tracking system and placement database.
  • Organize electronic and physical learner files for quality assurance audits.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate/Grade 12/Standard 10/NCV Level 4 Degree or National Diploma in Business Administration, Office Management, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • At least 1 year of experience in project administration.
  • Strong customer orientation and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SETA guidelines is an advantage.
