What You’ll Do

  • Record and store medicines and consumables according to prescribed procedures.
  • Ensure safe and accountable use of medications for patient care.
  • Assist in the compounding and preparation of medicines as directed by pharmacists.
  • Evaluate prescriptions and manage legal processing related to medication.
  • Conduct stocktaking and distribute supplies to clients efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate statistics and fulfill administrative requirements as per policy.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
  • Registration as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
  • A valid work permit (if applicable).
  • Knowledge of current health and public service legislation and policies.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
  • Professionalism, accuracy, flexibility, and ethical behavior in all duties.
