What You’ll Do
- Manage and supervise nursing practices within the primary healthcare facility, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
- Promote quality nursing care in alignment with professional standards and the PHC delivery package.
- Advocate for patients and uphold the Batho Pele Principles to ensure service excellence.
- Coordinate community participation in health initiatives and promote effective communication between the facility and the public.
- Oversee the maintenance and effective use of the clinic’s assets and infrastructure.
- Monitor documentation and information management systems to ensure efficient healthcare delivery.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
- A basic nursing qualification accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC), allowing registration as a Professional Nurse.
- At least nine years of experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse, with a minimum of five years in a primary healthcare specialty.
- A post-basic qualification in Nursing Administration or Health Service Management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing legislation and ethical practices, along with a basic understanding of HR and finance.
- Excellent leadership, supervisory, and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is advantageous.
