What You’ll Do

• Independently plan and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Confirm the registration of workplaces with the Unemployment Insurance and Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Acts.
• Investigate and resolve incidents and complaints related to the OHS Act, enforce compliance, and represent the state in court as needed.
• Carry out proactive inspections and compile comprehensive reports on findings to monitor adherence to labour legislation.
• Plan and execute advocacy campaigns, analyzing their impact and consolidating reports on outcomes.
• Contribute to the regional planning and drafting of inspection strategies, compiling statistical reports on cases handled.

What You’ll Need

• A Senior Certificate along with a 3-year recognized qualification in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Health, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, regulations, and related standards.
• Strong planning and organizing skills, along with effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient computer literacy and the capacity for problem-solving and analytical thinking.
