What You’ll Do

• Conduct daily roadworthy inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Operate specialized plant and heavy equipment for various maintenance tasks.
• Implement best practices in driver and operator systems to enhance efficiency.
• Transport work teams and necessary materials or equipment to designated sites.
• Collect goods from suppliers and ensure timely delivery to department stores.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, and vehicle inspections.
• Assist with maintenance work at gauging stations and support technical personnel as needed.

What You’ll Need

• NQF Level 4 qualification.
• Valid Code EC / EC1 driver’s license with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Certified competency or operating certificate for heavy plant/machinery.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in driving heavy motor vehicles and operating heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of traffic and road safety regulations.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy vehicles and machinery.
• Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to adverse conditions.
