What You’ll Do

  • Manage departmental contracts and oversee all related legal matters.
  • Verify the accuracy of contract documentation and ensure legal compliance.
  • Safeguard guarantees and manage court orders as instructed.
  • Ensure the safekeeping of legal records and documents, including contracts and guarantees.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on contract interpretation and implementation.
  • Conduct research and offer professional legal assistance as needed.
  • Draft and verify legal documents, ensuring clarity and compliance.
  • Liaise with the Office of the State Attorney regarding litigation and arbitration matters.
  • Support Project Managers and the Regional Office with legal insights and assistance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations governing legal and contract administration.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a four-year degree (LLB) with at least 8 years of post-qualification legal experience or relevant experience as an in-house legal advisor or legal/contract administrator.
  • Specialized knowledge of contract law and the administration of contracts.
  • Familiarity with the Framework for Supply Chain Management and related legislation.
  • Proven legal drafting, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Proficient in maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive information.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Excellent relationship management and decision-making skills.
