What You’ll Do

  • Provide laundry services by collecting, washing, disinfecting, and returning linen to various healthcare units.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment following health and safety standards.
  • Operate laundry machines, including washing, drying, ironing, and pressing equipment.
  • Inspect, mend, and mark laundry to keep items in good condition.
  • Sort, count, and accurately record dirty and clean linen for inventory management.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient laundry operations.
  • Report any machine faults and assist in maintaining laundry equipment in optimal condition.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF Level 1 or 2 qualification (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent) is required.
  • Basic understanding of laundry operations and equipment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in shifts, including night shifts.
  • Physical strength and stamina to meet the demands of the role.
  • A reliable and honest work ethic with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
