What You’ll Do

• Render laundry services in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Collect and return linen from designated depots and units.
• Maintain accurate records of linen collected and returned.
• Prepare and disinfect linen for washing following established guidelines.
• Inspect, mend, and mark laundry to keep it in excellent condition.
• Operate various laundry machines including washers, dryers, and ironing equipment.
• Iron, fold, count, and pack laundered items efficiently.
• Sort, count, and record dirty linen accurately.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or defects to the supervisor.
• Maintain laundry equipment by monitoring performance and requesting services as needed.

What You’ll Need

• NQF level 1 or 2 (ABET level 2 certificate or equivalent) with no prior experience required.
• Understanding of laundry operations and procedures.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work shifts, including night shifts.
• Physical strength to meet the demands of the position.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Honesty and reliability are essential traits for this role.
