What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and disinfect linen for washing, following established guidelines.
  • Inspect, mend, and mark laundry to keep items in good condition.
  • Operate laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and irons.
  • Iron, fold, and pack laundered items, preparing them for delivery.
  • Sort and count dirty linen, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Report any machine faults to your supervisor and assist in maintaining equipment.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent).
  • Understanding of laundry operations and procedures.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work shifts, including night shifts.
  • Physical strength to handle the demands of the position.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A reliable and honest disposition.
