What You’ll Do

• Manage and document museum collections, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Assist in the development of research and exhibitions that highlight local history.
• Facilitate public education and outreach programmes to engage visitors.
• Support marketing efforts through social media and other communication channels.
• Provide excellent visitor services, including guided tours and assistance.
• Participate in heritage preservation activities and community engagement initiatives.
• Offer administrative support and compile reports as required.

What You’ll Need

• National Senior Certificate/Matric Certificate/Grade 12 alongside a relevant three-year degree or National Diploma (NQF 6) in Anthropology, Marketing, History, Museology, Museum Studies, Archaeology, or Indigenous Knowledge Systems.
• South African citizenship and a clean criminal record.
• Unemployed status and no previous internship experience.
• A genuine passion for heritage, culture, history, and museum work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer literacy to support various tasks.
