About the Role
The South African Police Service (SAPS) is seeking a dedicated Human Resource Clerk to join its team at the Promotion Services headquarters in Pretoria. What You’ll Do
- Administer the verification process for posts scheduled by Provincial and Divisional Commissioners.
- Manage the advertisement of posts for promotion purposes, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Oversee the recognition of improved qualifications obtained by employees and ensure payments are processed.
- Implement post promotions and manage the administration of recommended candidates.
- Administer the grade progression process for all employees within SAPS.
- Type letters and perform various administrative tasks as required.
- Manage the capturing of leave records and attendance registers for the section.
- Administer the stocktaking and stationery management for the section.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 / Senior Certificate / NCV Level 4 or equivalent qualification (NQF level 4 recognized by SAQA).
- Proficiency in English and at least one other official language.
- General computer literacy skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and professionally under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused attitude.
