What You’ll Do

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in designated areas within healthcare facilities.
• Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, bathrooms, and communal spaces.
• Manage the disposal of garbage and ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
• Clean and maintain kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Safeguard cleaning supplies and ensure they are stored properly.
• Implement basic security measures, such as locking doors and closing windows.
• Monitor hazards related to fire and electricity within the facilities.
• Perform simple maintenance repairs as needed.
• Ensure adherence to infection control and hygiene regulations.

What You’ll Need

• NQF level 1 or 2 (ABET level 2 certificate or equivalent).
• Good communication skills and the ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Physical strength to handle the demands of the role.
