About the Role

What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic leadership to the delivery of public works, roads, and transport programmes.
- Manage the efficient and effective oversight of public works projects and transport matters.
- Ensure compliance with the Public Finance Management Act and relevant public service regulations.
- Oversee the management of provincial government building infrastructure and transport systems.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and internal audit services.
- Manage departmental financial, human, and physical resources in accordance with government policies.
- Collaborate with senior professionals and stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate postgraduate qualification (NQF level 8) recognized by SAQA.
- At least 10 years of experience in a senior management role.
- Preference for a qualification in the built environment.
- Strong strategic capability and leadership skills.
- Excellent people management and empowerment abilities.
- Proficiency in financial management and program management.
- Good understanding of change management and service delivery innovations.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills with a focus on client orientation.
- Proven integrity and professionalism in managerial roles.
