What You’ll Do

  • Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of office buildings.
  • Address minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues as they arise.
  • Maintain office equipment and furniture, ensuring everything is in good working order.
  • Repair broken equipment and furniture to prolong their usability.
  • Keep tools organized, cleaned, and stored safely to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Report any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Safeguard maintenance tools and supplies to ensure availability when required.
  • Follow the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act in all duties performed.

What You’ll Need

  • ABET Level 4/Standard 8/Grade 10 qualification.
  • A minimum of 1 to 6 months of relevant work experience in semi-skilled manual labor.
  • A valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance and relevant legislation.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good problem-solving, planning, and organizational abilities.
  • A disciplined approach to work, with the ability to work across various campuses and sites.
