What You’ll Do

  • Maintain cleanliness in and around SAPS premises, including offices and external areas.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
  • Safeguard and properly handle cleaning aids and equipment.
  • Clean bathrooms, kitchens, and other facilities to ensure hygiene standards are met.
  • Load and unload goods as needed.
  • Provide garden maintenance services to keep outdoor areas tidy.
  • Wash and clean state vehicles, kitchenware, and utensils.

What You’ll Need

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and at least one other official language.
  • South African citizenship, with proof required at the interview.
  • A minimum of ABET Level 4 / Grade 9 / Standard 7 certificate (NQF Level 1).
  • Understanding of how to handle cleaning detergents and adherence to occupational health and safety protocols.
  • Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
  • For K9 Unit & Mounted Unit positions, candidates must not be allergic to dust, animals, or grass.
