What You’ll Do
- Prepare, cook, and plate meals for patients according to standardised recipes
- Clean and maintain the kitchen area and equipment, adhering to hygiene standards
- Follow the Clean-as-you-go principle to ensure a tidy work environment
- Report any broken or faulty kitchen apparatus and equipment
- Assist with in-service training for new workers and colleagues
- Provide support to the Supervisor as needed
- Work alternative days in the Milk Kitchen as required
What You’ll Need
- Basic reading, writing, and numerical skills
- Appropriate experience in a large-scale industrial food service unit
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Ability to work in large-scale freezers and cold rooms
- Physical strength to lift heavy objects and remain on your feet throughout the day
- Knowledge of basic food groups, cooking methods, and HACCP principles
- Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety principles
